Billing & Cancellation Policies

To cancel your camp registration, you must send a request to summercamp@giddensschool.org

Cancellations Through April 30: Families may cancel a summer camp registration for a full refund, less your non-refundable registration fee. 

Cancellations After May 1: Camps are non-refundable. If you cancel after this date, a refund will not be issued. Families can still switch to a different camp if space is available.

If you would prefer to switch to a different camp week instead of canceling, you may do so at no additional cost as long as space is available. No cancellation fee will be applied when transferring your registration to another available camp week.

Other Cancellation Reasons: Refunds will not be provided for cancellations due to student illness, or other medical issues that prevent attendance. Refunds also will not be issued for missed camp days or cancellations related to family vacations, travel plans, scheduling conflicts, changes in childcare arrangements, transportation issues, late arrivals or early pickups, or a student’s decision not to attend due to homesickness or personal preference. In addition, refunds will not be granted for cancellations resulting from behavioral or disciplinary dismissal. Families are encouraged to carefully review their summer schedules prior to registering, as camp enrollment is reserved specifically for each student and staffing planning is based on confirmed registrations.

We encourage families to contact us as soon as possible if something comes up that prevents the student’s attendance so we can discuss any available options.

In rare circumstances, Giddens School may need to cancel a camp week or camp day due to unforeseen circumstances such as low enrollment, staffing shortages, staff illness, facility or maintenance issues, utility outages, severe weather, unsafe air quality, or other emergency situations that impact the school’s ability to safely operate the program. In the event that Giddens School cancels a camp session, families will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a refund or credit for the canceled portion of camp.
