Join us for a new event to Celebrate Giddens School. We'll celebrate under the big top with delicious food, mingling, dancing, in a high-flying setting. The gala features a silent auction of class projects, raffles, speakers, entertainment, and an opportunity to raise your paddle to support Giddens School ... and much more.

What time is the event?

The event will begin at 6:00 pm and the dance floor will close at 11:00 pm.

Is there an RSVP deadline?

Yes! Early Bird tickets are sold until March 1st. Regular price tickets are sold until March 15, 2019.

What are the transportation options?

Yes! Parking is easy at Emerald City Trapeze. There are tons of free parking spaces on the street, and there is a small parking lot to the south of the studio. All other parking spots are paid parking. If you are coming via public transportation, there is a LINK station (SODO) right across the street along with several bus stops.

Where do I indicate my seating preferences?

To facilitate more conversations and socializing, Step Right Up will not be a sit-down dinner. Throughout the event, guests will be able to gather at bistro tables and various seating areas as an option.

What is the menu?

Mini Beef Hot Dogs topped with alderwood smoked bacon jam infused cream cheese, fried shallots, and candied jalapenos.

Hand-Crafted Vegan Corn Dogs served with bing cherry infused ketchup.

Southern Style Fried Chicken and Waffles with melted triple cream brie and alderwood smoked bacon.

Waffle fries topped with 24-hour smoke pulled pork and deconstructed slaw (gluten free)

House made Kettle Corn (Gluten Free and Vegan)

Cheese Display including: assorted cheeses, house cured meats, seasonal fresh and dried fruit, vanilla-chipotle spiced pecans, herb roasted olives, Pike Place Market grilled vegetables, tapendes, hand rolled dolmas, rustic rosemary cracker bread, artisan French baguettes.

Handcrafted jumbo soft pretzels served with a selection of dips including: melted European butter, dark beef infused queso, cognac infused honey mustard, fleur de sel.

Mac and Cheese Bar: choose from super creamy five cheese mac-n-cheese or gluten free and vegan mac-n-"cheese" with a topping buffet including: flameed wild mushrooms, alderwood smoked bacon, bay shrimp, housemade chorizo sausage, roasted Pike Place Market vegetables, truffle infused panko crusting, green onion slices, fried onions

What is the drink situation?

Every guest will receive a drink ticket that can be redeemed for a complimentary alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage. You are also welcome to purchase additional beveraages at the bar!

How are the costs of the event covered?

Event sponsorship helps to underwrite the cost of the event. If you know of a company or organization who might be interested, please share our sponsorship information or ask Amy Bresslour to follow up.

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Guests must be age 21 and over.

What is the ticket refund policy?

If you cancel by March 15, you are eligible for a refund for tickets purchased. Cancellations after March 15 are non-refundable, as we will have committed to paying the caterer.

Who is the emcee?

Nelson Jay will be the wonderful emcee for the short program.

Will there be community building buy-in parties and teacher experiences?

Will there be a Fund-a-Need item this year?

Yes. More details will be shared soon. In the meantime, please note that the paddle raise will once again include the following levels:

What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear anything that makes you happy! We will be glad to see you in jeans or tails. Some members of our community enjoy dressing in theme to the event and will attend in costume.
