Preschool

Age range: 2 years, 9 months to 5 years

Preschool children are ready for a full, rich combination of work and play. They are encouraged to think, solve problems, and share ideas in action, pictures, and written word.

Teachers focus on:

• Building self-confidence through skills, pre-academic games, self-care learning, and exploration.
• Resolving conflict through communication, self-awareness, and using adults as resources.
• Learning social and emotional development through cooperative play.
• Presenting art, music, and movement as expressive mediums.

• Developing lifetime values via teachers and staff, who exhibit model concern for others, acceptance of difference, and delight of learning.
