Welcome to Music!

The school year is off to a great start! The Giddens students are already singing joyfully, playing instruments with precision, and moving their bodies to the rhythm of music. These kids are bursting with musicality and I can'’t wait for them to show you their stuff!

S is for...Success!

The K/1 and 4/5 students gave sensational performances at their show, "S is for Seasons, Samba, and Song." If the show whet your appetite for more music performances, then you'll be happy to know that the Primary Arts Festival is only a couple of months away. Keep your eyes peeled for more details!

2-3 Performance: Many Voices, One Song

What’s wonderful, yet challenging, about music is that it takes 100% effort from each musician to achieve a unified sound. The individual musician is an indispensable part of the whole.

Steady Beat Development

Please read this article on Steady Beat Development! It explains why developing a good sense of rhythm as early as possible improves a person's intellectual, emotional, and behavioral capacities. The best news about steady beat and students at Giddens? Across the board, they are remarkably proficient at keeping a beat!

Sign Up For Choir

Aside from normal music classes, 2nd-5th graders are urged to join the GIDDENS CHOIR. This is a great way for kids to experience singing in an ensemble, work on vocal technique, have extra performance opportunities, and hang out with their friends.
