Math Program

At Giddens we believe in "Mathematizing" our children's worlds! Through interactive, applied math lessons, group work and independent practice time, we make sure that our children are taught math from the Washington State Standards for each grade level. At Giddens children need to be able to do more than get a correct answer. They need to know why an answer is reasonable and correct. Math is an exciting, creative subject, but it also requires practice and stamina! Our students learn math thoroughly and deeply because our curriculum is aligned, our teachers confer with one another, and we chose to build a math program with research-based materials and instructional practices.
