“The Giddens School is not just preparing my son academically, they’re also helping him know how to live in his world. I love that they don’t shelter the children from each other and the world’s problems. Rather they help them deal with life’s challenges in age-appropriate ways.”

Financial Aid

Giddens School is proud to commit a greater percentage of its budget to financial assistance than any other independent school in Seattle.  Families are welcome to apply for financial assistance, and our admissions decisions are made on a need-blind basis.  Financial assistance funds are limited and vary from year to year.  Continuing students who already receive financial assistance may receive preference in the award process.   If the amount of financial aid need outnumbers what the school can support, some students will placed on a waitlist for financial aid.  In no case will an applicant be denied admission to Giddens School because of financial need.  It is important to remember, an offer of admission does not guarantee an award of financial assistance. Financial Aid award decisions will be mailed the same day admissions decisions are mailed.

Please complete your Parent Financial Statement (PFS) online at www.nais.org  or manually and submit it to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) Office by Friday, February 6, 2009. Send a copy of your completed PFS, 2008 IRS 1040 with all schedules, along with copies of all W-2s to the admissions office by Friday, February 8th.
