Financial Aid Policy
Financial aid enables Giddens School to enroll qualified students who might not otherwise have access to an independent school education. We are committed to having a diverse program reflecting a broad socioeconomic mix.
Applicants are accepted for admission on a need-blind basis. Candidates for financial aid are referred to the Financial Aid Committee to determine the aid award. Financial Aid at Giddens School is awarded based on a family’s demonstrated financial need as well as the school’s capacity to provide support. Giddens School uses the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (S.S.S.) to help determine need through analysis of the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). Financial Aid awards will be made and families will be notified at the same time they are notified about their admission status. If the amount of financial aid need exceeds what the school can support, some students will be placed on a waiting list for financial aid. In no case will a family’s financial need preclude the school’s consideration of admission.
